Congratulations on that, r: most of the ISPs have realised at last that setting up of the systems can be made much easier by self-diagnostic operation, so perhaps yours was not quite a fluke.

... BT ... arrived early ... all set up and working ...

That really is pretty scary. I do hope the Gods on MountPleasant, Telephon and Homehubris, aren't merely playing with you.

But well done Smiley

Ooooh! Happy me!

I'm going to have a facial today, a present from my man (do you think he's trying to tell me something?).

I've only ever had one once before, about a dozen years ago, it was gorgeous !

Look out for the beautiful new me later on!

Hello Jan,

What a nice present.  I hope you're properly pampered.  Your man is a sweetie.

I had a facial a few months ago administered by a student at the London College of Beauty Therapy.  It only costs £15 there, and it was lovely!  That reminds me, I might phone them up and see if they can fit me in for a full body massage one morning next week, or perhaps just a pedicure.  Or maybe both.  I'm taking the week off work to do some hardcore Promming, and I suspect it will be just what I need.

For anybody in London who likes the sound of these lovely treatments at rock-bottom prices, the LCBT is on Great Marlborough Street (turn off Regent Street at Liberty's) and the website is here.

Not to mention usually very cheap or free! Smiley

You'll be able to go to more concerts at Trinity, no doubt, now you're based in Mudchutesorry, Island Gardens wasn't it.  Don't forget about Blackheath Halls, either - you do occasionally get some gems there.

How was it?  I wanted to go, but it was at that time of year when every night of the week was spoken for.  Plus, it was literally the same week as the Covent Garden one (and that's not true, what you said about it being considerably cheaper than Covent Garden - I paid about £9 for my stalls circle standing ticket, and wasn't it £10 for the Trinity production? Wink)

It was ok, i do not remember how much we paid, about £12 i think.  It would have been better in a normal setting instead of 'in the roundish' but it kinda worked, probably not a good 1st opera, but i rather enjoyed it.  And we went and had afternoon tea in greenwich park after.

I boycott the ROH on grounds of price but look forward to trying ROH at the greenwich cinema.

Of course, i am going to go see the barber of seville at the eno asap,

my plan being to turn my girlfriend, who likes musicals, into an eno fan, cackle cackle Smiley

You'd pay £20 a time to go to the opera at the cinema, when you could be at the live performance (with a full view) for less Huh
