Mary,

This is one brother whom I, and the rest of family have fallen out with (his fault), hence his daughter and now his sons, are regaining contact with us, I cannot say how happy this makes us, let alone us as a Bopa (which you all will know is Welsh for Auntie of course.)   So I am Bopa Anty as Bryn points out.

Congratulations! You can't have too many nephews or nieces! IMO they never become dull, or if they do you can just swap one for another! And then give them back at the end of the visit.

Just an update on my lamp situation... I know you've all been worrying.  Roll Eyes
I was explaining my dilemma to my dinner host last night when he suddenly offered me a spare lamp (exactly the same one that I wanted) which he had spare.
He also offered me another lamp, which would go very well in my lounge (I'm always thinking that I want more subtle lighting in here), and since then I've taken him up on the offer.
Not really sure why he's got all of these fittings in his closet, but I'm not looking that gift horse in the mouseth!

It's funny how much a trivial thing like lighting can affect your mood. Just the ability to turn off the little lamp by my bed, rather than having to get up and switch the main light off last night, made me quite happy!
