I don't think that I announced this with the fanfare that it deserves, but they fixed my washing machine last week!
I was at work but got back to find that the water had been drained, and one of my bath towels had been used to mop up some water.
No note or explanation, but it works and I have clean clothes once more!
Yippee! (despite the unannounced intrusion Undecided)

A man came at lunchtime today and seems to have fixed our shower (temporarily at least - pending a new one being fitted in a couple of weeks' time). I haven't tried to use it yet, but at least the slow drip of water down inside the wall behind the tiles seems to have stopped for now.

Happy Anniversary, BBM! Have a lovely day. That's a nice post to see on a gloomy Sunday. I would do all sorts of dancing penguins and popping champagne corks if I knew how. Instead I'll just do a lot of these:

It's on Listen Again until Friday, bbm, about 2 hours 10 minutes after the start of CD Review.

The music wouldn't work at all for brass band, I'm afraid, but there's always the pleasure of hearing someone speak with enthusiasm and intelligence about something they appreciate.

Thanks for that DB. I have quite a wide taste in music actually. From Dance music to jazz, blues and classical. Although a lot of my collection is on classical.

I went to another band last night. PW & Martle would know most likely, Brighton & Hove City Brass. They are two sections higher than Patcham Silver, who I play for now. A very nice welcome back to the fold!

Strange isnt it how you feel one minute and different the next.

I was feeling right low today, until I nodded off infrnt of the tv this afternoon(hardly surprising), maybe its my tooth infection that I;ve had for the past feww days that's got me down), but I thought to my self, come on, this is no good. So i saw that several things needed doing, as i said earlier, like the recycling and the rubbish to be dealt with and then i done the week's roning. So I thought to myself, I feel better now. Peculiar sometimes,  Huh

Defo get the teeth checked, can cause all kinds of problems like recurring headaches etc. etc.

yea, is odd, how things change, colin wilson has researched it

" Wilson was hitchhiking one day and not having any luck. He was also on his way to meet his girlfriend's parents, and did not expect a warm reception, and thus was particularly unenthusiastic about the trip to begin with. One driver finally picked him up, but then broke down a short time later, and Wilson again found himself in the same position. Finally, another trucker picked him up. He thought about the possibility that this truck might break down as well, and noticed that he greeted the idea with complete indifference. Pondering this, he concluded that there is a state of mind in which only pain or discomfort can disturb. Wilson found this puzzling, wondering why it is so impossible for people to appreciate the overwhelming sensation of being alive at all moments, and thus avoid this state. The truck happened to be passing through the town of St. Neots, and thus Wilson named this term after his experience. Wilson has said that a better name for it may be the "indifference margin," and it is this feeling that Wilson believes we must learn to banish from our minds in order to achieve a new consciousness. Oh, dont worry, I've had that checked out yesterday, LB, thanks. It turned out to be an infection, so the dentist prescribed me ante-b's, and I need to have that particular tooth yanked out, unfortunately. I have to wait till 10/12/08 for that!!

I like the idea of the 'indifference margin'.
