the immediate question to that pic is:

why on earth are accountants standing there looking on (some of them coming close to ogling it seems) and getting spattered?

When in doubt, wash.

Since this is the cookery thread can we assume it's porridge? Yuk!

Ah, much better. I could wrestle in hummus but never in porridge. Shocked

Could be that mushy brown rice what you get at dodgy outdoor buffets.

So long as it's not polenta...

I did and it was tasty.
Could have done with a bit more seasoning for that wow factor, but it was definitely worth a try, and it was very easy too!

i do like making spaghetti sauce. watch those tomatoes bubble! delumptious it was too (if i may say so). the only trouble is it could easily steam you out of the house if you're not careful.

in my search for spices etc. i turfed everything out until i reached the back of the cupboard. there was a big fat lazy spider there. it looked less than pleased.

now here's how all spiders should be:

Ever since I woke up this morning I have had a truly  serious  yen for roast lamb with flagolet beans this evening, but the weather is so vile I have not felt inclined to shift my bones out of the door in order to purchase said beast. Guess it`s down to finishing off the minestrone that I made the other day. It`s nice but .... it aint roast lamb. Sigh.

Sounds good Mort, glad you'll be getting your beans  Cheesy  I hope when you next buy lamb you'll buy British because the lamb trade is dire at the moment.

I think it's these cool damp days that make one yearn for a good roast dinner with roasted spuds, parsnips and sweet potatoes.  Yummy!

I managed to burn the rice on Friday <doh>

You`re right there, Anna, but, HOORAY! I found a lone lamb chop in the freezer, cracked open the beans et voila, I can have my lamb fix Grin
