'Mole sauce' would mean 'sauce sauce', and I don't think even a Mexican would know how to sauce a sauce, as it were ...
Is that as in guacamole? Ugh, avacados again.

Is that as in guacamole? Yes, exactly - guacamole is a kind of mole (i.e. a kind of sauce). I'm not sure what 'guaca' means on its own (I could look it up, I suppose! ...), but Spanish for avocado is 'aguacate' which has 'guaca' in the middle of it.

Roasted potatoes (again) with pan-fried salmon and broad beans. I would do some hollandaise sauce but I can't be arsed. And it's the sauce I generally did with salmon for my ex. So I'll have nude salmon this time. (Worst time was when she asked for new potatoes, asparagus, poached eggs, salmon and hollandaise sauce - so many fiddly last minute things! I was half-naked (because of the heat, nothing else - the heat off the top of the hob, wash your brain out!) sweating like mad with every single pot on the go and the oven, the sauce split but I managed to save it (thanks Nigella!)... Never again.)

It was all very nice indeed. Tomorrow I've got a friend coming for dinner, so I'm roasting a mallard. It was sat there on the game stall in the indoor market calling to me. I'll have to get more potatoes, but it's going to be roast mallard with roast potatoes (possibly with a mustardy dressing) and curly kale. Ooh yummy. I'll have to find some wine to go with it...

HH, this job of yours, it's nothing to do with cooking is it? You can tell us, we can keep a secret... Ahem.As far as I know, cooking is not on the curriculum. Depending on how much time I have on my hands and how much money I need for various nefarious activities, I might be seeking some cooking-related work since I've always quite fancied doing a bit of that, but we shall see.

hh, I think I am suffering from Roast Potato Envy. You scoffing them twice this week and providing the photographic evidence has prompted a severe yen for roast pots. I woke up this morning thinking about them There`s only one thing for .... I`ll have to make some. I can`t wait ! <salivate emoticon>

I normally only eat them about twice a year, round about Christmas - but that photo has put an idea in my head....

I don't touch potatoes for months but when something grabs me, nothing else will do. Right now, it just seems to be roasties all the way. There are other times when it's always mashed potatoes. Go figure.

Mmmmm. Reminds me, we have some blackberries down the garden - but why haven't the squirrels or foxes eaten them? They're easily accessible.
Possibly because they have filled themselves up with ALL the filberts from the four filbert trees I had carefully identified in Verulamium Park and the Abbey Orchard. Grrrr. OK, OK, I know their need is greater than mine but even one would have been nice .
