Many happy returns to Ron, wise owl and intrepid walker. You have brightened these pages with your spectacular photographs, widened our knowledge and appreciation of many, not least Shostakovich, and emptied our pockets with your CD recommendations!  Have a great day at Castle Dough!  Cheesy

Well, you can't expect both the name and the age to be right can you?! Cheesy
Wishing you a very happy birthday, you wise old owl.

Ron,

I remember a while back you posted a picture of yourself fronting a popular beat combo back in your flared and younger days, so I deduce you're a bit of a rocker. And now, at least in the context of this forum, you are also a mod. This therefore, unless I am very much mistaken, makes you both a mod and a rocker! Now I understand why you were so cross that you didn't get down to Brighton the other night - a lovely concert, then outside for a bit of a punch-up with yourself afterwards, just like the good old days.  Cheesy

All the very best to you, you bring so much knowledge, intelligence and enthusiasm to this forum and it would be a much poorer place without you.

Happy Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON

Best wishes for your age-ratcheting day -- and thanks for introducing me to Tippett!

In your honor, I shall give a spin to the Sonata for Four Horns.

Very many happy returns of the day are winging their way from your old neck of the woods, Ron.  Have a terrific time - perhaps you may even find some form of tax return deadline to get you excited (did I really read that correctly last night?)
