Wow! Just catching up this morning. Such a shame Sri Lanka didn't bat so well; I always like them anyway (they have the best names), now I really want them to win the whole thing.

Well.

another victory.

but....it was against Ireland, and it was only by 48 runs.

taken at face value, Englands bowling figures were fantastic but, as i said, it was against Ireland.

feel a bit empty now.

Sri Lanka certainly batting very nicely at the moment against a rather lacklustre West Indies who seem to have given up already.

a lot of teams look like that when playing against Sri Lanka; they make teams look stodgy and dissinterested when, in actual fact, the are scared sh*tless.

Think Englands victory over Ireland was workmanlike rather than impressive - think Pietersen and Flintoff gradually finding their form but Michael Vaughan is still a worry - noticed how annoyed he was when dismissed cheaply - Australia i suppose are still favourites but South Africa and Sri Lanka are exciting - as for England  Huh Huh Huh

To go from 160-2 to 235 All Out surely presents England with a decent chance of picking up the two points?! Tight bowling and fielding, I thought, but a curious approach from SL.

Their real strength is in the bowling - and they know it. Pieterson and, oddly, bell are looking really strong though.

Well, Bell's dismissal was a bit bizarre, wasn't it?!  Undecided

Once again it was down to the middle/end order to finish it of.
but if vaughan would have just scored 2... Sad

Wow what a finish (v sri lanka) reminded me of those ashes matches in 2005 - only this time we just failed....maybe optimistic but hope the Australia match is just as close..... Lips sealed

all this Greg Chappell furore!
if only the british public took it so seriously.
this couldn't have helped, though...

Bangladesh well on the way to claiming another big scalp (and providing England with a possible get-out route if when they lose to the Aussies tomorrow)!  Cheesy

my heart is with Sri Lanka.
i am - however - dreading tomorrow.
