Well, I like to think that I would have produced a genius if I'd gone on having children Smiley. You never know....
The law of large numbers meets family planning; who'd have though?  Roll Eyes

To be more serious, I'm very suspicious of the concept of leadership.

If all Martle's votes are declared valid I think that means we have just elected PW President for Life.

... which is no mean achievement in response to a post criticising the concept of leadership.  Apparently in order to fulfil the job description (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saparmurat_Niyazov)  I am obliged to ban opera, recorded music and beards.  So I think I shall resign and cultivate my garden instead.

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

I always felt that the problem with jobs is that you either have to be bossed around by the boss, or actually be the boss, both horrible options.

I was in Freiburg for a couple of days and then Paris for another couple of days. No snow but lovely spring weather! But now back in Köln where winter seems to be having one last hurrah...
