Blimey. I'm away for just 5 days and you buglers have left me with 5 pages of thread topics to wade through! It's just plain inconsiderate, that's what it is. I'm a busy man, you know. Things to do etc. And now I'll be here for hours. Well we had to do something to keep ourselves occupied during your absence! Welcome back O Green One

In my 'former life' everything was called Eric...
Including the half-a-bee's, I hope! For people needing to know more about animals called Eric, e ricommend this.

I was on a train yesterday and a bloke got on and sat opposite me. He looked exactly like George Garnett. Same build, same type of specs, same colouring, same sartorial preferences, same enormous all sorts of things. I really did have to do a double and then a triple take. I knew for sure it wasn't GG only when he got out his laptop, a sheaf of papers pertaining to quality control surveys for some company dealing in kitchenware 'solutions' and made several mobile phone calls to 'Sheila' about his forthcoming trip to North Africa and the type of hotel rooms she should book for him. Mind you, was it anyone else around here?

Ye Gods, Martle, that must have been scary. I'd never thought of myself as having 'a build', or 'colouring' let alone 'sartorial preferences' before (unless ten minutes in Marks and Spencer once a year counts).

Oh it does, George, it does. And it takes one to know one.

It's a bit quiet here today - is everyone visiting relatives or stuck in a traffic jam or something? (We're not!)

It's quite warm and sunny here now so I guess being a Bank Holiday weekend folks are out and about. Although I was woken this morning by a terrific thunderstorm and driving rain.
