Had a good chuckle (sic) when watching Business Questions on the Parliamentary TV Channel this morning.

Maverick MP, Dennis Skinner, rose to speak about the gradual redevelopment of the closed coal pits in his Bolsover constituency.    Tomorrow, he will be opening a new development called Tinners Junction.  So that's where he's been!   Grin
Just saw this, Stanley.

Yes, it's true, I always had a soft spot for Dennis Skinner.

I'll lead with Rite of Spring and the Bartók Concerto for Orchestra...
Well, TBH I don't think I ever liked Sacre -- perhaps because I was under too much pressure to respect it.
For the same reason it took me a very long time to realise I actually do quite like it.

I can't think of one that fits your question (the other way round), but there must be something. I'll keep thinking.

Why don't we have a Questions thread?

Here's a question: Who or what is St Saviour?

Here's a question: Who or what is St Saviour?

Jesus.

The English title Saint being the equivalent of Sanctus or Sancta which in Latin is an adjective as much as a title.

Those near Winchester will know Saint Cross, ie the church (and hospital) of the Holy Cross.  And near the Old  Bailey there is the church of Saint Sepulchre (which prom lovers will know as the burial place of Henry Wood's ashes, where the wreath put round Wood's bust in the RAH at the Last Night is taken the next day) is the Holy Sepulchre.

So Saint Saviour is the holy Saviour.

I know St Cross well, it being the 'parish' church to the first school I taught at. I used to take my class into the water meadows, sketching pencils and paints in hand, to capture on paper the fine views.

In fact, from this view, I can pick out roughly where I live!!
