I have just looked at the stats and find in another 4 minutes I have beaten AndyD for most time on-line and find myself creeping up on Mary Chambers Edit: Metaphorically not figuratively Mary. No need for that nervous smile! I should think that your not as close as Mort is Antheil!!

Though if you just stay logged on, but without actually clicking on anything, your time will cease to accumulate, Andy: there's an auto-hibernation protocol, and you have to continue with regular activity or else your time will stand still. (At least, I'm presuming that things work the same way on a Windows or Linux-based system as they do on this Mac OS-enabled one.)

I think that feature must kick in after a while, Ron. I've often wondered why, on days when I've accidentally left my browser open and left the room for several hours, my time doesn't seem to have gone up as much as I would have expected.

That's good news, Bobby! I've wondered several times, in a slightly worried way, what might have happened to him.

TOP has at least got the messageboards back now. For a while, if I clicked on Messageboards, I got the homepage.

Looks as if there's been another redesign, Mary: I've never seen the homepage look like that before.

Oh dear, the residents aren't happy. Must admit, it wasn't immediately obvious where the Messageboards are. They don't exactly signpost it ... Maybe they're hoping people will just give up, go away and polish their leather elbow patches while puffing furiously on a Meerschaum. Or tiptoe quietly away and become engrossed in womanly needlepoint

That instantly brought to mind Jake Thackray and The Castleford Ladies Magic Circle! Unforunately cannot find a clip of it.

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.
