Anyone know a good place to purchase bubble-wrap? It's so expensive. So far I've managed to wrap china and glass using lots of old wrapping paper (fortunately I have copious quantities of used birthday and Christmas paper!) as newspaper's so messy but I could do with some for picture/photo frames as well as the remaining china. I posted a Wanted email on Freecycle and so far I've been offered cardboard boxes. A friend with an off-licence has been kindly saving wine boxes for me but I keep using them faster than I can replace them! Too much junk... Smiley

I tend to hoard it and I've got quite a lot. I keep on thinking it will come in handy some day for posting something but I never ever seem to use it.
If you PM me I could probably post it to you at minimal cost (after all it doesn't actually weigh much!).

Try Staples, the big office supply store found in Retail Parks, MJ.

That's very sweet of you hh, but I'm sure you'll need it one day. Probably the day after you give it to someone! So many thanks for your very kind offer but I'll find some locally. Kiss Kiss Kiss

Cheesy Now that would need a heck of a lot of bubble-wrap...

Thanks Ron, I've just googled bubblewrap and of course it's cheaper to buy it online. I didn't think of doing that before but you can buy 100m of it in the shortest width (30cm) for under a tenner.

So I'm not the only bubble-wrap hoarder in the world! If I ever move house I'm sure it will be useful, but it does take up quite a lot of space.

I've got a stash here, and there's still a load in Durham that hasn't made it up yet. Along with a load of jiffy bags and 'useful cardboard'.

Bored and surfing the internet over breakfast and discovered this. I don't want one, but I know people who will.

I am already practicing in the morning. Have two project going at the same time. How can one get so busy out of the blue.
I have 65 years old student coming at 10.30, have to clean the house too.
They gave me such bad photocopies yesterday that I had to trace notes with a pen last evening. My friend is arranging sections of operas from piano scores because there is no orchestra scores. They are trying to revive interest in opera. Light operas and musicals are staged often here. There are not many instrumental people who can actuallyplay and some of them are not available. Instrumentation could be very unusual. So far they are hoping to get four strings, flute, clarinet and horn.

Sorry to post my projects all over the internet, but it is not often that I am called to do things like that. It is ok to sight read the most famous choruses and solos, but not from my copies. I can imagine how restorers of antique pieces of art feel. I had  to guess and restore many pages. I hope I did an ok job and  Verdi is not upset. I was fuming a little.

The matrioshke with a theremin inside look very tempting.  May be after I will get paid I can buy that. (After I pay dentist a good amount of money for my teeth).

THis thread may belong to Grumpy thread, but h/h triggered it from me with his post.

I see on their website that Manchester Art Gallery has been named Large Visitor Attraction of the Year at the Manchester Tourism Awards 2008

But I am not Large - can I still visit?

Sign on door in toilets yesterday at Manchester Piccadilly Station "Not in use - this cubicle has been faulted by our staff"

Faulted?  Huh
