Someone has stolen all my best pencils and left me to work with cheap & nasty ones which keep breaking.

I know who it was.

Oi! You! Yes you! Come back with those pencils or you're grounded!

I ran out of 'best pencils' a couple of years ago and just use cheap and nasty ones now.
I've got a headache, which might be a migraine (it's been coming and going since midday Saturday) but doesn't really feel like it (except that my vision is a bit squiffy) so I went for a lie down around 7ish but woke up about an hour ago not feeling particularly better, so quickly grilled a steak and a few courgettes and (why oh why) drank half a bottle of wine (paradoxically feel a lot better in the head department, itself worrying) and then remembered that I hadn't rung my mum today (it's her actual birthday today)...

I may drink some echinacea tea now. It's either that or elderflower cordial.

[edit: removed link to comic due to feeling less self-piteous this morning, though I still have the headache]

If you point your cursor over the strip it should turn into a magnifying glass, then just click...

When I was younger, I used to get a great deal of aesthetic satisfaction from rooting through my dad's filing cabinets, finding all of the little plastic containers that held lead refills for his mechanical pencils (he did a lot of drafting work), and snapping them all, one by one...it was pure bliss!

I bought some pencils at Staples a couple of years ago, they were marked as 30p which I thought was a reasonable price, but then I realised that 30p was for the whole box of 10, not each! They've been very good, not at all cheap and nasty, and they've even got little rubbers on the end. Made in China of course, but even so.

It looks like the California coast to me, but you haven't been there. Did she go there with someone else?
