"Prefectly happy"? Is that when the seniors at school approve of one's actions?  Grin

Don't worry, I am prefectly happy, no sarcasm meant at all. I am just saying I am happy... is that ok kitty?
What I was trying to say, with typical ineptitude, is that happiness is both scarce and fleeting. Keep a mental snapshot handy to remind you when things get bad.

The party is over.  Not without incident as it happens.  We had one quite nasty injury where a little boy and girl collided and the girl fell with the side of her head on the wooden floor.  You should have heard the crack!  I thought we were going to have to ring an ambulance, but after carrying her to where I was sitting and applying an ice pack, kindly provided by the hotel, she eventually calmed down.  She has a huge bump on the side of her forehead which was going a lovely blue colour as she went home.  However, she joined in the games again afterwards and won the cartwheel competition so it couldn't be too bad. The mother took it well!  Grin

Then as the children were making their way out when the party finished, the person holding the door open (fire door of course so nice and heavy) let it slip and it hit another little girl on the side of her head.  That wasn't quite as bad as the first accident, but it gave me a nasty moment there.

He's got all his thank yous to write out now, but we'll do that during next week.    Lovely afternoon, enjoyed by all.

Do we have people here who went to exotic places for their vocations. For example, to S. Aftica's wild park or to Amazon river or some other places like that?
I have a friend who went to remote part of Argentina.

He is South African specimen.

The friend I was talking about is my bassoon player. He usually goes on vocations in exotic places. He is a young man in his 30s and usually goes on holidays with one of his friends.
He is a good bassoon player and he is a good conductor and he teaches theory.

I was making a joke t-p..... remember those?

You see, you said you had a friend who went on vocations ( wrong word... vacation is a holiday, vocation is a way of life)
You then posted a picture of a very large green insect and said that it was your friend.. I commented that your friend who turns out to be a bassoonist does not really look like this...? Perhaps he does then??

When I press the brake pedal in my car the indicator stops working. Then when I take my foot off it starts working again. I pretty sure that's not what's meant to happen.

I'm hoping that the temporary assumption of the name Gerald in the early hours of this morning might help resolve this problem. But knowing my luck with cars I'm trying not to raise my hopes too much.

Does the car also slow down? If not, then you've really got something to worry about.

Eventful day ahead.  Off to hospital for noon with the teenager for his op to remove the lymph nodes for biopsy.  I'll stay with him till he goes down to theatre, depending on where he is on the list.  He's been nil by mouth since 7 am so he's not a happy bunny.  I set my alarm for 6 so that I could make him some breakfast before the deadline.   He's scared to death about it all even though I've made light of the whole thing to him and told him it's nothing to worry about.  Sad

He's hopefully just a day case, but I will have to come back for the school run, followed by little 'un's piano lesson.  Hopefully I'll have time to give him some tea before we have to go back up to the hospital to bring him home.  If it looks like being after little 'un's bedtime before he can come out, my son is primed to go and bring him home later on in the evening.  If he's last on the list they may keep him overnight anyway I suppose.

I hate hospitals.   Sad

Good luck to all of you, Milly. It is so much nicer if it's a day case.
