This is a rare cabbage:

Just realised this must be a sprout plant but all the sprouts have been picked.
Here's one with sprouts still attached:

I only learned recently that the longer you cook sprouts the more windy they are! Nice crunchy undercooked sprouts aren't nearly so antisocial. Roll Eyes

You are making me hungry, and it's only half past three.

Sprouts are best if you buy them on the stalk, but not many shops sell them that way.

Italian cabbage.

I visited my friends today. They gave me salad and then desert. Desert was in a glass dish: greek yogurt on top of which she put frozen cherries from Aldi. While we were talking cherries were not frozen anymore.
This was better than icecream, plus healthy etc.

I love fried sprouts - slice them, then fry them with onions, potatoes, spices etc mmm (don't put them all in the pan at the same time tho - the spuds take longest to cook)

Can someone explain to me why the waffle thread now and then deteriorates into a food thread?

Is it only me that doesn't want to see pictures of food?

Do tell me.....  Grin

Ooh never tried that. Sounds good. Nice with carrots too? I like to fry them lightly to retain a bit of crunch. In fact I have some carrots to cook now - they'll be sharing the pan with garlic and onions. Tongue (licking lips not sticking tongue out in a rude manner.)

Cheesy it's my fault! I mentioned cribbage, which rapidly transmogrified into cabbage, and then we were away!!!

Ho!  A, It always does seem to happen but it's more distracting with pictures than it used to be with just text on the old Waffle/Filmscripts, is there anyway of viewing the pictures smaller by resizing them on screen?  Some of them take up half a page.

'Hmmm' said Tristram, 'these fried and spiced sprouts really are rather splendid'
Badger belched noisily in the corner and agreed...
'What's for dessert?' said Stoat
'Anyone for duckweed brulee?' said Squirrel emerging from the kitchen area

I don't see any need to apologise. Some of us like talking about food, and surely on a Waffle thread anything goes.

No, that wasn't what I meant Mary, Waffle is for waffling about anything, it's the size of the pictures I find disturbing when suddenly my whole screen is filled with a cabbage casserole!

Sorry if I have caused any offence  Cry
