No, I'm not a complete idiot. I'm only a halfwit. In fact I'm actually a catfish.

Just to put the other side across, in the first two years of secondary school, we boys were not allowed to wear anything under our shorts for games or PE. We mostly ignored the rule but occasionally the games teacher would announce that there would be an inspection. We had to form a queue and open up our shorts at the side for him to peer down and check we weren't wearing anything underneath.

That's rung a bell Tony! We had to do the same in PE I seem to remember. What was the point of that? Some boys used to go to extraordinary lengths to avoid exposing themselves to everyone else whilst removing their underpants and putting their shorts on - even to the extent of putting the shorts on first and then somehow removing the underpants. Don't ask me how!

Not too excited with that then eruanto?!!

Do you know the very old joke told in Liverpool in the sixties?....

A bloke was needing a haircut and saw an advert in a barbers' window that said 'Have your hair cut like the Beatles' So in he went . They gave him  a short back and sides , and when he said, 'It says have your hair cut like the Beatles... this isn''t like the Beatles have their hair cut' ..
- The reply was, 'It is if they come in here'

Just reporting for duty officially. I'm back! Do I sound like Scharzenegger? Exhausting time, but will catch up, bit by bit.

Martle, your return to greenness and lack of pinkness is a source of great delight and celebration. I mean, you don`t see flippin` Mart Pink on the old Dulux colour charts, do you?  Cheesy Cheesy Welcome back.

Ta, Mort! That flirt wiv pink was another manifestation of gremlindom. Not my doing, and I nipped the little pink thingumy in the bud, I should say. No more of that on my watch.
