Ah, that coffee grounds exfoliant tip I was talking about has just come in.

Quote
very simple, get in the bath (without having filled the tub), moisten skin, rub used coffee grounds on/into skin, wash away. it's good for the whole body! i suggest sitting down in the bath otherwise it can get messy - even doing it at the vanity basin is a bit inconvenient, those grounds jump all over the place.

Haven't tried it myself.

One can even color their dog to match hair colors. The most important thing is to coordinate.

I never tried that coffee concoction, but it does sound like a lot of work

Now since I am making so many mistakes I will have to type it first with the help of word processor and then paste it on the board. I only worry my average of 23 posts per day will suffer.

Here are some food for thoughts for many of you on board. I know it is tempting.

T-p, please don't change your style of posting.  I don't think anyone here really minds your mistakes.  In fact, they can be wonderful.

And would you rather learn from is or from a machine that automatically corrects you?

Thank you Tommo. It is very painful to type it first on a word processor and then paste it. I lose pictures that I prepared and the whole process takes long for some reason. May be it is not my character to be so careful and pedantic.

I don't think I can learn though. I am capable to make the same mistake over and over again. It is frustrating to be me really, but I have no choice.

Autoharp, I am not familiar with Barber's pieces called Hair pieces. What is the music like? And what is it about?

This one is very pretty.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Kodaly's Hairy Janos yet.

Any of you guys use lip balm?

There's a nice Lime flavour available in Lush.

Thank you, IGI. I know that piece. There are no other composers that were inspired by hair.
Apart from those others already mentioned, what about the song Schenk mir deinen Goldenen Kamm (from Schönberg's Vier Lieder, Op. 2)? It may seem oddly inappropriate when one thinks of its composer's shiny pate, but...

Herr Arnold Schönberg's Golden Comb
's tonality does nought but roam
Far from its F sharp minor home;
If only he'd had shaving foam...

Alistair

It's wise to ring the changes in shampoo use, I find.

I often use Pantoum Pro-V, just as Ravel did (in his Piano Trio, for those who want to know and don't already); it stands Head & Shoulders above most of the others.

Fructis for a larf...

It is indeed immensely gratifying to observe so many posts about individual shampoo use and still not a single mention of genuine poo.

Hair today (is usually) gone tomorrow, so let us celebrate the best available shampoos while we still have opportunities to make the best use of them.

Whether or not this country (UK) is currently in recession, I know that I am.

I am reliably informed that, in dog-racing circles, a common phrase used when races commence is "the hare is runing"; to apply to my case, all that's required is a re-spelling of "hare" and the addition of the word "out" at the end.

Best,

Dan Drough (aka Alistair)

Some people's hair are flying, some people's hair are running, some people's hair are greying, but we still use shampoo. One day they will invent shampoo that will help people grow hair.
It is clear to me now that many composers were inspired by hair and by their dayly ritual of grooming and taking care of hair. Even if they had less hair on their head there was enough hair to take care of (cut it, shave it etc).

The idea of lemon lip balm is very appealing, well worth considering.
