I'd be very interested to hear the other examples that he mentions.

I thought I might have my bluff called on that one Cheesy  Actually I was hoping others might be inspired to come up with examples.

Hmmm. Trickier than I thought. The idea is that when you say the word you cannot help making a face associated with the object itself, a sort of visual onomatopoeia. How about 'gruyere'? (It only works if you don't like it of course.)

Or 'yawn'?

How about 'Ooo-err'?

My favourite greeting is to turn my head to the left, look whoever in the eye and mouth the word "prunes". Quite slowly.

I'm rarely bothered by people a second time.

Supplementary question :

how often do you shampoo  ?

About five times weekly myself - I feel the hair has an extra lustre and bounce when not shampooed every day.

You know, staying in on Sunday, listening to BBC Radio Three, no shampoo and a really good hair day to follow on Monday.

Sounds like my thinking for getting a really close shave on a Monday morning!

The worst thing is setting off for work on a cold morning without hair wash.

How unfresh one can easily feel.

Blimey, Ali, it depends entirely on how much hair you have to shampoo.  Embarrassed Your little cat there probably gets away with a couple of licks a day.  Cheesy

You look to have nice hair from the photos Marty.

Proper salon rather than barbers I'd say.

All systems go for Adagio on Saturday at present.

hmm...I'd shampoo & condition pretty much every day; it's an automatic shower-thing.  Hmm.  Does this make me terribly vain?

I don`t shampoo and condition every day and that is certainly down to vanity! If I did, my hair would look something like this

It HAS to be tamed!

Heh.  Actually; I do prefer my hair the day *after* I've shampooed it.  But it's a showering reflex.  Might take a terrible expenditure of effort to change.

I like her hair. I don't think I can be her no matter how often or how much I wash my hair. But I like her style. Now people streighten their hair. I like her style better, but it is  more old fashion probably.
This is not bad too.
