Richard,

Interesting that the Hosts now appear to be nameless Over There. No Sophie with her clipboard or the approachability of Peter. As far as the much vaunted `interaction` with Presenters goes, Rob seems to be the only one participating. But then, of course, he would. I know it`s very early days, but there really is a rather sterile feel to the place.

Damn and blast! Sorry. I stand corrected. The Host that closed the the thread  does have a name, but up to that point I hadn`t noticed hosts divulging their identity.

Wonder how the Bryn Broadside will last?

Good morning Morticiaa.  Sterile is definitely the"mot juste".  There seems to be a lack of "personality" about the place.  I see that on Music Matters there has been a reminder to the effect that posts must be tied to that programme. Ho!  Hope you're in good spirits this morning.
Cheers

Oh look what Chris-Host said:

You are right, the changes to the Radio 3 message board do limit which programmes you can talk about. This does not rule out the addition of new topics in the future, but for the time being I'm afraid that posts about other programmes will be considered off topic.

In response to Anna, while Music Matters can only cover a relatively small number of items on each programme, you are welcome to post here about topics that might fall within the scope of the programme. As you may have seen, Tom Service has already posted a thread about whether classical music is 'dying'.

Best wishes

Chris

Clearly the stuff included in the Andy Kershaw programme is now to be considered "non-music", which does not matter, and would never come up for discussion on "Music Matters". So why is the Andy Kershaw programme still being included in the Radio 3 schedule? Wink

Oh joy! I have had a thread pulled in The Other Place before anyone could even respond. I will wear my ousting as a badge of pride. Only the second day and the place is beyond smoking ruins. Tragic.

Ho Morticiaa.  I wonder if the middle and lower minions are, perhaps, expecting some weight to descend on them from the high minions.  They have either become small minded or scared that they might step out of line.  Poor things.
Cheers

It's starting to remind me of the Nibelheim scene from Saturday's Rheingold. "S*d love, what I want is power. And control. Even if it be only over the lobotomised mindless..."

S`wave

I suspect you are right. Sigh. Still, at least we don`t have to be one of the Auntie Drones. Just imagine! Shriek! The horror, the horror

Your thread lasted maximum of two minutes Mort! Did you see my post saying that the Raining thread which is in the top 5 has itself been closed. Unbelievable!  Angry
