I'm in London from 27-30 Oct. (Going to RFH on 28th & 29th evenings, Wigmore lunchtime 29th.)

How about a get together on Saturday 27th? I'll be around the South Bank area, but could fit in with others.

That's annoying - we are in Theydon Bois for the BSCC (www.britishshellclub.org.uk) on the 27th so it's not very likely.  Annoyingly, up until last year, the shell show used to be held not far from the Tate!

Jan
That might work for me - surely far enough off that a few of us could plan a London day (even if we don't actually live in London), do some early-ish Xmas shopping etc. We could have a pizza in that rather good Pizza Express near the RFH?

I don't really need a new Xmas at the moment but happy to come and watch while you and Jan buy one.

All that sounds very nice indeed and I would love to join you were it not for the fact that I'll be in darkest Belgium that evening. I shall no doubt raise a Delirium Tremens to your good healths.

I'd expect a beer with that name to be even more poisonous!

Poor Alan (God - no, sorry, not God, but someone else - rest his soul)! He just has to live with it, I guess - after all, there seem to be no composers called Thatcher, Reagan, etc...

Ah, well - he'll cope, no doubt - and without a pint of that ghastly stuff portrayed in his name, hopefully...

Best,
