Now that everyone is JUST coming off the high of 19 June, I would like to revive discussions about a July 4th meetup. The Plough has been suggested as a place. Now I am suggesting 7pm as a meetup time. Is that good for all present? That is, anyway, when my self will be there. All I need is a beer, really, but some people would also be nice.

It has come time for me to admit that I do not know what a cagoule is. Aha, I see now. Google images will then help me recognize you? But what color? You can't wear the green one, as that's probably reserved for the Nut Man.

Good, so we're all wearing cagoules on Friday, July 4th, at 7pm at the Plough.
Who else will be there?
Oh, isn't it a little warm for cagoules?
Here is the guest list with cagoule color. This list will be augmented as needed.
Morticia in camouflage Martle in green Tinners in Barbie Pink Churfan in blue harmonyharmony in sky blue Don Basilio in suit and tie (no cagoule) trj in a green flannel poncho with gold trim.

I am finishing a guiding job in Fleet Street at 5pm, and I will be in suit and tie. If that is not too intimidating, I would be happy to role up to shake the turfan hand. I will not have a camera, for reasons of national security. You can see what most of the usual suspects look like from elsewhere.

I'm told that I should stick to pastels (no, not fruit), white or black. Can I have sky blue please?

You're on. The fruit ones are pastilles, no? I suggest we all roll up carrying photocopies of the boiled-sweet pages from Gravity's Rainbow. That way we won't need to talk, as we'll all spend the evening laughing hysterically into our photocopies.

Tinners, believe me, The Plough is just not that kind of place.

For the reverential Marxists among you, bear in mind The Plough is only a stone throw from the former British Library Reading Room in the Great Court of the British Museum where Daddy Karl wrote most of Das Kapital.
I will check if the Great Court will be open that evening. In their desperation to make a fast buck, the British Museum has the Great Court open when the rest of the place is closed. The most expensive espresso in central London.
