(It's on Saturday 16 Aug for those without their Proms guides to hand - Mackerras conducts the OAE with Paul Groves (Belshazzar), Rosemary Joshua (Nitocris), Bejun Mehta (Cyrus), Iestyn Davies (Daniel) and Robert Gleadow (Gobrias).)
And yerself too! How could I say no to all of that? See you there I can only stay for a quick half afterwards though, as I've got a flight next day at the crack of dawn

It's down as a 10pm finish (unless you have better info Strina?), so last orders shoudln't be too much of an issue. Imperial College Union is closest and has the cheapest and best selection of real ale in the immediate neighbourhood (ecpet perhsp for other of the IC bars), and so reduces the timing problems still further.
I expect I will be in the season ticket queue for much of the afternoon (at least), with Ruth and the newly arrived Lady DHS in fairly close proximity, so we can always establish an alternative plan at that point if necessary (it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that certain members of the season ticket queue will be sharing a bottle of wine close to artists' entrance during the interval too). Assuming there are enough trustees/bucket shakeers aroudn so that I can cry off the charity collection that evening, I'm happy to make a dash to the bar to get a round in (though not for the whole orchestra...) Between us we should have enough members to get people in as guests to ICU, and as I recall, those with performers' pases are granted honorary membership for the evening anyway.

Can't make the Messiaen, I'm afraid Tommo... the night bus home via Berlin and Warsaw is a bit unreliable of late But I can come to join David & Ruth in the queue for BELSHAZZAR in nigh-on a month's time I haven't been in the arena for ages (no-one to go with) so this will be a fun day out. What time are you thinking of pitching-up there? And then on to IC for Belshazzar's Feast afterwards

Messaien on the first Monday... possibly.
Belshazzar... definitely.
Janacek on the 15th... also definitely.

Next Monday I intend to make, (it's all down to whether I can get to 17:00 bus), and Norrington on Tuesday is pretty much certain (it's a 'rest day' for me).

Should be there for the Messiaen.
For Belshazzar, I suspect there'll be a longish season queue for that one, so probably there lunchtime-ish - although haven't got that far ahead in the planning yet. Reiner, are you going to be on a weekend pass in which case you would be joining us in the season ticket queue, or on a day ticket (different queue)?

Assuming the latter, I'd be more than happy to join Reiner and any other non-season-ticket holders in the day queue for Belshazzar, but not if it means queuing from lunchtime - is that really likely to be necessary in the day queue??

David, I've barely got a passport to get back into Britain, let alone anything as sophisticated as a weekend pass! Blimey, they'll be asking if I've got a Loyalty Card next So I'm in the scruff's queue for a day ticket, and - apparently - a packed lunch sounds in order? Note to self - remember not to be so lippy about the performance-going arrangements at Glyndebourne in future...

Whilst it will be popular, the day queue in particular tends to grow more solowly these days, so you probably don't need to eb there that early - though of course it depends how far forward you want to be. I prefer to be near the front, and on the Season side that tends to be quite "competitve" (in the friendliest possible way, most of the time), and of course we all know each other that much better, so can guess when people are likely to turn up.

Hang on, Reiner, I thought you were off to Hammersmith and not touching Belshazzar with a barge pole?
As to Eru's question, while I had wondered if this Sunday's prom might present an opportunity for a meet, I am actually quite keen to take the entire weekend off Promming given that it's followed by at least 6 days of unmissable Proms, and I know my stamina limits. However, if other board members are planning to be there on Sunday, I might be persuaded...
