[snip]the character here represented by the gentleman on the right has been known to resemble another character well known in the contemporary business of advertising, who promotes certain sea-caught products when coated with batter or breadcrumbs.
Why is he coated with breadcrumbs or batter even? Why not custard? And how is this supposed to improve sales?

The mystery track 5 on the CD was Arrival Platform Humlet by Percy Grainger in his own version for tuned percussion. Apologies for omitting it from the list.

Villa-Lobos comes before Roy Ayres as well. Apologies for that too.

For some reason, the group photo always appears as an incomplete blur on my computer ( there must be a joke there somwhere ? ) The other pics of Richard, A and Mort etc are fine but not the group one.

Ok, I will own up to being the guy on the left towards the back who looks as if he'd spent about an hour too long in the Borough Tanning Lounge en route to the meet. Honest though, I was only in
there for 20 minutes! And Betty's very good with the foot massage, just in case you're passing.  Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks A but still blurred and indecipherable on my computer. Maybe it's my browser, we had that with something else last week I think, though I can't recall what. Even more weird, I had a "light bulb moment" and went to photobucket to view the pic at source as it were. Nice clear thumbnail but as soon as I clicked to see it full size, I got the big out of focus blur again. Guess I'll have to turn up in person next time !

And there I was, wondering (quite wrongly, as it turns out) if you were a cellist. Not to worry. I wasn't there so, as Andrew Sachs would have put it (in a certain rôle for which he was at least as well known as was the late Ian Richardson in the television adaptation of House of Cards), "I know nothing!"...

Best,
