By the way how did the bathroom piece go on thursday? I have to say that I heard a sort of rumbling at one point in the evening By bathroom piece you mean me and three others attacking a tam-tam with items such as soap dishes? Went very well (although the concert was in fact Friday). One of the original cast was even in the audience although I didn't get to speak to him... Good !! You were sorely missed , as were the knees.... ah , the knees A

Yes indeed Mort. My carbon fooptrint is quite small, since I have used neither lemon or lime.
Something wrong with that last sentence I think. Never mind.

Still, if the lime is from Brazil and the lemon is from Italy we'd want to be watching our carbon footprint, wouldn't we?
I guess that would rather have to depend upon the extent to which, if at all, one believed in that kind of thing. Even if one could grow the limes or lemons oneself and one happened to live near Plymouth or some other gin-producing area, the very facts that the ice may be from eau Wattwiller from north-west France or some Scottish mineral water and the tonic comes from somewhere else again means that one can barely even contemplate a gin and tonic without suppressing any morals that one may ordinarily have about food miles and putting one's carbon footprint in it... I still haven't poured that G&T yet... Best, Alistair

I will own up to being the one in the white 'composer' jacket if that helps.
George, you've got a way to go before the ultimate composer jacket: Blimey! Col. (Ed) Straker. Never thought I'd see him here! Come on Ed, what's your nick?

The strange thing about you all is that you all look so normal. If I would to look at your group I would never thought in my life that this people are classical music lovers. I would rather be incline to think that you are sport lovers (especially two fellows who drink beer or something). That what strikes me that you are so normal and I wouldnot assume you are listening to radio 3 and classical music. That will teach me a lesson when traveling on the airplanes or buses to think about people around me as potential radio 3 fellow listeners. I always assumed people around me are listening to pop or something. Now I know better. There could be even composers or cello players or clarinetists traveling with me and I would never know thinking that they are for sure footballers or something.

Then again there could be footballers masquerading as what someone like you might think of as classical music listeners.

This is my point. One never knows a book by its cover and one should not assume that people don't like classical music. Lately I meet so many people of different ages that love classical music. The fact that somebody is wearing a baseball cap doesnot mean they are necessarily going to a baseball game. (I don't say that any of you were wearing a baseball cap I am just thinking).
Is this man a member of our board team and a fellow classical music lover?

He does look like a composer. In profile he is like Shostakovich on his dacha. However, Shostakovich liked dark colours I think. I think he is either dead or he is snoring.
