Bear convicted for theft of honey

Googling for pictures of bears I found this page http://blogs.britannica.com/blog/main/2007/09/the-bear-trade-a-gruesome-bull-market/, which is about the not-at-all-humorous way that "in China, live bears languish in cages so small they can barely move, where they spend their entire lives cruelly “milked” for their bile."  Cry

Bless you George. Listening to the link resulted in the 'Charlotte Effect' here. In fact, I've listened to it 3 times with the same result

Since opening, Terminal 5 has already had over 1000 flights take off and handled over 250,000 pieces of luggage.

That wasn't the news, the news is that they cancelled over 200 flights and have 15,000 pieces of luggage belonging to people who flew without it  Roll Eyes

Apparently they've said problems will continue into next week.

Surely it should be tomorrow morning they say that?

Shades of "Thin Blue Line" - the poor woman!  Grin Grin Grin

By Sky News SkyNews - 1 hour 19 minutes agoPolice officers carrying out drugs raids had to apologise to an innocent woman after smashing their way into her house by mistake.

Officers in Bolton were carrying out the dawn raids as part of an operation to tackle a drug ring when they accidentally targeted the house of a woman in her 50s.

Seven officers dressed in riot gear piled through the front window after one of them had smashed through it with a hammer on Wednesday morning.

They shouted: "Police!" as they made their way into the house, but quickly realised they were in the wrong place.

A statement from Greater Manchester Police read: "As part of an ongoing operation to target drug-related crime in Bolton, officers entered the wrong house.

"GMP has apologised to the occupant and will ensure that the damage to the property is repaired.

"Officers will be reviewing what went wrong in order to make sure this doesn't happen again."

Goodness, Milly, that's not humorous at all! She must have been scared to death.

You know my sense of humour!  It reminded me of an episode of the Thin Blue Line when my favourite character Inspector Grimm rallied his forces and they all raced up the path to a house shouting GO GO GO GO GO.  When they got there, they all stopped and he rang the doorbell.   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Regarding the newsquote, it wouldn't have been at all funny for the poor lady herself (except maybe afterwards - she'll dine out on it for years), but ineptitude like that I always find absolutely hilarious.

I know - I'm weird.  Roll Eyes
