we've studiously avoided the 'M' word here, haven't we?
Matrimony? Geeeze; moving a bit fast methinks; we're only on page three!
Hmm. Watching a documentary on the South-African facet of the African AIDS epidemic; seems there're a lot of glorified dieticians sincerely screwing things up; (a proportion of them and ) their use of religious rhetoric in explaining why they do what they do really just infuriates me, as I'm sure it would anybody. Of course even without that they'd still be silly, but they would be even more obviously silly. I probably shouldn't go on, but it really got to me, so I'm going to say it here: I can't stand (well...have a low tolerance for it anyway) it when people use religious/spiritual beliefs to justify
anything. Sure people can say they are driven by some spiritual fervour, but when they say it like it rationalizes what they're doing they're getting into extremely dangerous territory.
Maybe I should up the garlic content of my diet; might help keep my spleen under control...
