I eventually persuaded them that, with the best will in the world, we couldn't rewrite Mozart's music to advertise their tea - but we would put posters in foyer, and offer the audience free cups of tea in the interval ;-)
Of course if it had been the Magic Flute or Abduction from the Seraglio there wouldn't have been a problem...

Although it's not quite the right genre, I believe B&Q have also sponsored "Le Marteau Sans Maitre"  Wink

Lortzing's opera about Peter The Great, "TSAR & CARPENTER" is another that cries out for their involvement.  Not only his complete set of chippy's tools, but one of those aprons with the B&Q logo on it, too :-)

Bearing in mind that the entire Ark is constructed during a performance, and that tools are specifically mentioned in the libretto, Noye's Fludde surely cries out for their sponsorship, too.

There could also be a very strong case for the involvement of petfoods manufacturer.....
