As on these sorts of forums political matters inevitably arise, how about a forum for Politics/News/Current Events or the like?

Sounds like a good idea.

A news and current affairs board is definitely a good idea.  Politics would definitely be welcome there.

I like the idea of a CD exchange, too.

Maybe a 'Collectors' Corner' would take that in so we could have threads on CD exchanges, and there are a few folk here with vast vinyl collections, not for exchange, but for listeneing and sharing knwledge. Also Collectors Corner could includio threads on Hi-Fi Audio Equipment, DAB radios etc. and on PC audio stuff like noise recduction, making mp3s blah blah.....

Collectors Corner is a bit 'corny'  Roll Eyes

So maybe suggest to Michael a name for a section on CDs, vinyl, Audio, PC audio etc

Great Idea John.  I will get to work on that and call it 'Collectors Resource.'  Then when we get some ideas coming in, we can have our first poll and the winning idea will be used.

I've just added the section.  I have used child sections on this board for the first time, and worry they could be confusing at first.  Could members give them a go, and if the general consensus is that they are too confusing or annoying then I will remodel them.

Wow! I was trying to suggest a compact section for all that, now we have sections for Audio, PCs, vinyl, CD exchange  Shocked

You do spoil us Michael.

For discussions on new CDs and CDs in one's collection I suppose the Classical Music (on R3) section is the one.

Hello,
I was just wondering if there are any plans for a concerts board to discuss / publicise recent concerts that people have been to?

Yes please for a 'Forthcoming Concerts' section.  I'd like to advertise concerts that I play in if that's not against any rules (It's a bit sad playing to a small audience.....)

Cheers

Hello Michael,

When I first logged in, I could click on user's names and see a 'profile', catch up on their latest posts etc, but now I just get a message saying I can't look at just anybody's profile. Am I doing something wrong or has the system been tweaked?

Thanks,

Mark
