Thanks Mort. I'll be in that position myself soonish when I finally move house and will be without a computer for quite a while...but no date so far so no au revoir yet. Say hi to Jonathan from me!

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Only just got hold of this. o dear, sorry to hear that Jonathan. Been very inspiring. Hope, as Morticia said earlier, not au revoir, but see you soon again. Hope things work out soon. Good luck and best wishes.

Ok then I AM back this time! Internet all working perfectly (he says) and faster than before! Life much better now, living right in the middle of York which is really great! Feeling great almost all the time (despite a huge commute to work every day) Now, where is my Liszt thread?

Hello, again Jonathan. York is pretty good - it could end up as a heritage shopping mall, but it's not there yet.
Glad to hear from you.

Shouldn't this thread now be re-named "Hello"?
