No, no, no, rm! Exercise, exercise! That's why I have my piano downstairs and my computer upstairs. I must do the climb about fifty times a day. Since being kicked out of my basement (which the kids now complain is "too cold and damp to be comfortable", the very reason we had to swap), I no longer go up and down stairs twenty times a day, and suffer from swollen ankles. Lazy git.

I discovered today that (one way or another) I have been secretly mocked for a long time. False face must hide what the false HEART doth know. That awful feeling when you discover that someone who is nice to your face has been beastly behind your back is painfully familiar here too. It might help to remember that what we see most readily in others we are afraid to acknowledge in ourselves. Whoever is mocking you may be hoping to divert attention from what they perceive as a disastrous flaw in themselves.

Don't forget - whilst they're talking about you, they're giving some other poor bugler a rest.

eruanto,
Commiserations. It`s a sickening and painful feeling when you discover that people or a person has been making fun of you in private while acting the friend to your face. I imagine many of us have been there. I agree with the thoughts expressed above. Don`t waste your energy fretting about the negativity of idiots (easier said than done, I know) You must be doing something right, otherwise they wouldn`t be so p`d off. What`s more, you have something that they don`t have - the friendship and multiple shoulders of the people here!

I've always said that if someone has a problem with you and is mocking you, that's not your problem, it's them! Where is t-p anyway?

I am here and injoyed reading this thread. You are such a funny bunch of people. I will tell you what was wrong with me. I am good at self diagnoses. In fact I am almost as good at it as I am at spelling.
I was too tired after school year and for some reason out of good humour. The episode of posttraumatic disorder occured after an ungrateful student damped me with not much ceremony. This was especially painful because he was saying that I am an exceptionally good teacher.
I was pressing on with my practice and a last week was so exhausted that now I can play no more than two hours a day. I have a violinist and can not play more than his program.
The morale of the story: accept your situation and wait what will happen next. Things don't depend on me.
As of now I am in a room full of furniture. The spear room is painted. I have to wait a month for the furniture to be delievered. Factory workers are on vocations. I am hoping that when the furniture will finally arrive I will pay extra and delievery men will move the wardrobe down to the shed together with an old bed.
Life is full of small things. Morale of the last tale is: don't do renovations because it is not good to your health (especially if you are working).

Hmm...tough time you've had t-p :/ I don't like renovations either. Though, saying that, I don't like that our landlord won't do some necessary ones (more for the structural integrity of the house in the long term than for us in general) even less!

I missed you a lot as well, t-p! You are very much welcomed back. We will cheer you up, but perhaps not on this thread, unless reading other people's grumpiness is cheering, of course.
