I am grumpy because I am jelous. I wish I was in  Royal Albert Hall too. I only saw Albert Hall on TV.
Now I really feel sorry for myself. I should repent because it is not good to feel sorry for onself.
At least there are some people here who are not in Albert Hall too.

marbles - crappy luck. Hope it improves.
I'm not in the albert hall either but that's ok.
I'm not really grumpy tonight, though I was wondering why it was so quiet!

marbleflugel,
I am so sorry you could not join the company in Albert Hall.

I was mugged once in Berlin. It was in the middle of day and I was not scared. They just took my money from my bag. Unfortunately there were US Social Security, canadian driver license, UK medical card (I forgot what it is called), Visa and some other documents that I have as sentimental value. I can not replace them, it will take too much effort to recover some of them.

I hope you recover yourself here. It took me a few hours to calm down after my incident. Fortunately there was conference dinner and I was distracted by food and people.

And by the way I love your medieval style, though I don't understand everything. It is so funny.

I am listening now.
I still can not get used to the new format on radio 3. It will take me a while. I think it is probably good, but I can not find things as easy as I used to.
I will probably have to wait until the program will be on listen again.

The program on now it is about learning piano and piano playing in China. There is a piano competition in their coservatory.
From what I know there are many Russian teachers working there (probably the best).

For some reason they can not give them the soul in their playing. May be they are not the best teachers.

Why there is no spirituality in their playing and in China? I don't know much about China.

The program is interesting. I am glad I tuned in.

Thank you Stuart Macrae for your post. Thank you to BobbyZ for sorting me out.

Scintillating you say?  Shame us here in Wales cannot hear it.  30 secs, buffering, buffering on listen again. Listen live was ditto.  Giving up now.  Grump, grump.

That's very rough luck, marbleflugel. Really sorry to hear that. It must be particularly galling to have lost something you were working on. Every commiseration.

Thanks George. I think I can stick it together again. The stress of reporting and cancelling cards etc,100yd dash at lunctime , was made easier by supportive collegues and a pint after labours. And understanding kindness here gives me the impetus to crack on.

I hope you are feeling well today, marbelflugel.

We have a good sunny day. May be it is good where you are. Things are much better when there is more light.
