IGI - I'm not going to get any more on Ian's brain-teaser than you have there!

And I'm not having much joy with your quartet either...

It could just be Shakespeare (Verdi adding Macbeth, Otello, Falstaff to all the Shakepeare references in Brahms, VW etc) - but that's probably too simple.

Devious, moi?!

No Shakespeare connection at all, apart from my fifth composer, namely...Romeo Cascarino.

Brahms
Walton
Tchaikovsky
Vaughan-Williams
Cascarino

Verdi is not a composer clue, just a clue!

Good. Just the VW left, which requires a little digging, being a first line rather than a song title.
