The picture's more of a Bliss clue....a Walter Scott/ Rossini opera title may also help, although the opera is unconnected to Arthurian legend.

Yes, our final Arthurian connection (the picture in a previous post is a shallot - horrible pun, I know, as was 'that's ya lot'!!  Embarrassed)

Bliss – The Lady of Shalott
Gluck – L’Ile de Merlin
MacDowell - Lancelot and Elaine
Chausson – Le Roi Arthus
Albéniz – Merlin
Birtwistle - Gawain

What did you think of the Albéniz?

I heard each opera only once: the music isn't that great, but the drama is (esp. HENRY CLIFFORD, the HENRY VI plays being my favourite Shakespeare histories!). Maybe I should give them another listen soon.

Off out for a while, but I'll leave you with these four and the clue that none of them is operatic!
