No - more recent than that, but the film probably isn't as well known.
The Ravel is for solo piano, the  Martinu and Ives are songs, Henze and Stravinsky orchestral.

Glass - The Fog of War

Well done, John.

Here's another composer you might need to research:

Ives
Martinu
Henze
Donizetti – La fille du regiment
Ravel
Stravinsky
Glass – The Fog of War
Jennifer Higdon

Not City Scape - I have that disc on order - but another Higdon work that has been recorded...

Yes. It's a good piece, very accessible and is coupled on this recording with some familiar Barber and Copland, plus a new(ish) work by Theofanidis, called Rainbow Body which won Masterprize (a BBC sponsored composing competition, IIRC) not so long ago.

An extra composer (clue - Lyric Piece...there, that narrows it down a bit!  Wink)

Ives
Martinu
Henze
Donizetti – La fille du regiment
Ravel
Stravinsky
Glass – The Fog of War
Jennifer Higdon – blue cathedral
Grieg

No to both of those. The Stravinsky is quite short.

Must break for supper now, so I'll leave you with a final composer and a subtle re-ordering. In fact, there's a second Ives song which could fit...

Ives
Martinu
Henze
Donizetti – La fille du regiment
Jennifer Higdon – blue cathedral
Grieg
Glazunov

Glass – The Fog of War
Ives
Ravel
Stravinsky

Good luck!  Cheesy

Are we looking at Debussy Preludes?

In which case we could add Ravel: Ondine, Grieg: Puck (again!), Stravinksy: Fireworks, Glazunov: Chant du menestral...

Can anyone spot the missing Debussy Préludes? They are in work sequence.

Both Ives and Martinu are songs; the Henze orchestral.
