Um. Is this the Prison Song from Voices? It certainly has references to 'iron' in the text.

Not an American link, no. I'll throw in another composer:
Copland Prokofiev Ives Holst Gershwin Johann Strauss II

Still no joy, IGI.
I thought I was getting somewhere with
Prokofiev: Tale of the Buffoon
Holst: The Perfect Fool
but after that exciting start the trail then seemed to go cold. Is that line of thought worth pursuing?
'Good hunting', eh? There are hunters in Peter and the Wolf. But I can't imagine Holst and Copland being hunting types somehow.
Very tricky, O Cryptic One.
[Oh, Johann Strauss has just appeared. There's an 'Off to the Hunt' Polka. Maybe there is something in the hunting theme.]

No fools here, GG, and no real hunting connection, just a Kiplingesque phrase, possibly to throw people off the scent!! The Copland is a film score, Ives a song; most of the others are well known (some very well known )

Colours?
Copland - The Red Pony Then Rhapsody in Blue, The Blue Danube, The Love for three Oranges. (Two blues wouldn't seem right.)

Aha! The Copland, Gershwin and Prokofiev are correct...the sequence of composers should help: Copland - The Red Pony Prokofiev - The Love for Three Oranges Ives Holst Gershwin - Rhapsody in Blue Johann Strauss II Delius
