Whilst we try and work out bbm's choral connection, here's one for you to ponder in the morning.

Victoria
Johann Strauss II
Verdi
Handel

Good night all.

Are we seeking the Brighton Festival Chorus then?

Duruflé   Requiem
Elgar   Dream of Gerontius
Martin   In Terra Pax
Britten    War Requiem

Would that be James O'Donnell, then, who was at Westminster Cathedral Choir, where they recorded Masses by Frank Martin?

Got that one right IGI. Well done! The rest of the music should follow souit. That frank Martin Mass is a really special performance, I think.

I have the Britten Ceremony of Carols with the Westminster Cathedral Choir under David Hill - a marvellous recording. (I taught David's daughter when he was DoM at Winchester, btw).

Other Westminster Cathedral recordings, which might complete the connection, include:

Palestrina Third Book of Lamentations (lots of Palestrina recorded)
Vaughan Williams Mass in G Minor
MacMillan   Mass
Durufle Requiem

Yes, I live and work in Winchester, and used to walk past the cathedral every day in my first job.

The current puzzle is a bit of a tricky one, but the works you're seeking are (in three cases) popular/ well-known.
