Johann Strauss II - Methuselah
Verdi - Nabucco
Handel - Belshazzar

 Huh

Or, more specifically, champagne bottles?

Yes, pw, I think the Solomon is only for champagne. Wouldn't mind getting hold of one of them!  Cheesy

I don't think you'd lament a Jeroboam ... unless you'd just finished it, perhaps?  Wink

Yes, it was specifically a champagne connection:

Victoria: O Magnum Mysterium (Magnum = 2 bottles)
Johann Strauss II - Prince Methuselah (8 bottles)
Verdi – Nabucco (Nebuchadnezzar = 20 bottles)
Handel – Solomon (28 bottles)

and I was thinking of Mozart's Champagne aria from Don Giovanni as an extra! (Lumbye was in reserve)

Well done all! Have another glass...
