Schubert - not the dogs snarling in the last song of Winterreise?

Well, I seem to remember an organ grinding in that song, but you're very close Wink

Haydn's the chicken and Lassus the rat...multilingual, you said? Italian for rat it ratto, presumably ratti in plural?

This answer is in the title (as is the case with the Lassus).

I have realised (as I didn't know of this work before scouting around) that it's possible the Haydn 'piece' may be just an album title of a CD with Haydn on it.
