And for that matter a lower number. Two more posts and maybe it'll come back.

I am doing exceptionally badly at chucking the weed away...I've probably smoked more since the ban came in. My natural urge to protest against this Government is stronger than my resolve to quit. Well done Ian, sounds like you're doing fantastically...

I know what you mean Biroc. I suspect this ban has brought out my inate cussedness! Angry Stupid really. I haven`t yet been out to experience the deprivation, but I`m sure that when I do I will be grumping par excellence.... Angry Angry

Your "natural urge to protest against this Government", perectly understandable as it is, would accord to your desire to give up smoking if your can manage to persuade yourself to perceive as such a protest the withdrawal of tax revenue therefrom that will result in your ditching the weed.

More strength to you (and not to the ciggies) - and good luck!

Best,

Alistair

Hey! My leet has been deleeted and replaced by an ordinary number!

I blame the international musicological community.
For all the world's ills or just for that?

Best,

Greetings briefly to all from York. Thought you might like to know it's been only three so far today....  Grin Grin Grin

Yeah, but bear in mind Ian's spent a big chunk of time today on trains between Croydon and York - what, 3/4 hours? - where you're not allowed to smoke. Even so, impressive and I'm just envious.  Sad

There's the solution, martle, spend your life on trains: not only would it break the habit, but there'd be so much more time really to enjoy listening to music...

Better still, just think of THIS...

It comes more easily than you think, and KILLS about 100,000 UK citizens every year - just because they go on smoking cigarettes believing that it will never happen to them!

Ho hum. Non-smokers just don't get it. The shock tactics, logic, reason... all for nought. It's gotta come within!

Meanwhile, let's look at some more of those lush ashtrays! Yum!

A personal favourite:

I think they do Martle. That could be why they don't smoke.
