Gosh!

I've never won anything before. I tell you what though, Mr S, I am already deeply indebted to you for performances of, inter alia, Elliott Carter's Clarinet Concerto (Australian Rules version) and will be proud to count that as my prize. Nothing, however, will stop me wearing a small victor's garland for the rest of the day.

Is that all you will be wearing George?  Strategically placed I hope!  Shocked

Yes, that version is really rather good, isn't it! Smiley

It may depend on the weather, Milly. It may have to be one of these, one of the all-weather variants being made for the London Olympics.

What's poor little Victor going to wear then?

PS: Kitty, I see you're due for some appropriate acknowledgement in 2 posts' time!

By the way, has anyone seen my copy of the ETCETERA Nieuw Ensemble Ferneyhough disc? I can't find it anywhere...

From what I've heard of a certain new recording in the can of Chute d'Icare, there will hopefully be one less reason to need that disc in the near future.  Anyhow, I imagine that the Tate Modern has absconded with it as part of their planning for a long-awaited and sorely underpublicized exhibition of Ferneyhough's paintings, one of which graces the cover of that disc.

erm....

Well, that's another case solved, Watson!

Come on, Ollie...where was it?!

Ollie, it's a fake burned copy, Ron Dough spotted your original at Seaworld!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
interview tomorrow at nine. no cash. NO BLOODY TIE.

Well, that's not true. I have two.  The one that I bought for my suit seems to have gone missing.

The other one, well, is a little more casual in style:

I feel like testing out the expletive filter right about now.

Just calling up friends now (no one in the house has one).

(hmm...running out of friends...)

Found a friend who has one.  Phew.  Can pick it up off him tomorrow morning.   He keeps a small collection of ties on him at all time, each of which has value comparable to that of my suit.  Disaster averted.  Took several calls though.

Thanks for the support guys.
