Morning everyone, I'm posting this from a new laptop which is running Vista. After all the bad comments I've read about Vista, I'm a bit apprehensive but it seems OK so far - not that I've done much more than install Firefox.

Morning Andy. Can't read the message I'm afraid. It's all jumbled up. What's 'V&s%ta' and what's 'F*$f£0x'?

Don't worry, Andy. I have V^&$T! too and it'll settle down - you just need to install U*&(-plus and ££"$%$ (the free version will do) and you're sorted.

Good morning. I had a good night's sleep for once, and feel like a normal person today , though I woke at 3 a.m. and there was a wasp on my pillow, about 2" from my face [shudder] I hate things like that. I once woke up eye to eye with an enormous stag beetle. That got me up.

I have to say you have reminded me of the rather large slug that appeared in my bed one morning a while ago (I hope it was the cat that brought it in!! A That would be worse!!! More repulsive, if less likely to sting. I don't understand how slugs get in. I came home from a concert recently and a large slug was staring at me from the kitchen floor. The kitchen door doesn't open directly into the garden - there's a utility room and a porch. I don't understand, and I didn't like it one bit. I put the slug outside, using a piece of kitchen paper.......but I'm afraid I squashed the wasp last night/morning .

I'm rarely organised enough to put it back in the shed, so it gathers passengers who then disembark at stop no. 1 - kitchen sink. If I've just washed up they can slip beneath the residual foam unnoticed until I finally spot them ambling around the taps or across the floor.

I remember a family holiday, many moons ago now(!), when we stayed in this persons holiday cottage, what a rank place it was to. It was in France and I shared a bed with my elder brother. One morning we heard this buzzing noise, it came from the bedhead! There were quite a few of them to say the least, so we taped up the bed, eventually the noise died down. (I wonder why!)

I need closure on that story BBM! I'm now expecting the final episode next week.
