I played the Revolutionary study two times, then Gb study in a sort of heavy handed way for about two.

I played two Rachmaninoffs and Chopin first Nocturn (I have to play it and Gb on black keys soon because the violinist need to rest and wants me to provide change of colour).

I don't have any Bartok. Romanian dances would be good.
I have to pull Russian grade books and see.

I have from old times grades from 1 to 8 or 9. I also have Canadian Royal Academy books.

Thank you so much. I feel much better.

Glad I'm cheering you up! Another idea...

IF (by sheer chance and exceptional good fortune) your plumber not only fixes the problem BUT ALSO refrains from charging you a fortune, why not treat yourself to a private celebratory performance of Ravel's Jeux d'eaux?

With regard to your husband's affliction, just play him a short portion of Vaughan-Williams' The Wasps and that'll fix his problem too.

Mr Buz,
It is funny you have to suggest I should play Ravel's Jeux d'eaux. By coinsidence I played it not such a long time ago.
It is a beautiful piece. I was half way good on it, if you know what I mean.

I could play with music getting my tempo faster.
I did not finish perfecting the piece because something distracted me or I had another project.

It is such a beautiful piece. Ravel's music is very hard to play on the piano for a very average piano player like myself who also has a limited amount of time.

It is so strange that you should mention that piece. Did I say it too?

I see - you go through life wearing goggles then. That's fine! They might come in handy with the plumber.

Good morning. Sorry to hear about your troubles, t-p. We are usually plagued by wasps here, but although I saw some earlier in the year I think they may all have drowned - or else they are hiding, waiting to pounce as soon as the sun comes out.

I wish I could play the Revolutionary Study, but I was never any good at the piano.

I feel quite a bit better today, and my hearing is almost normal - great relief. Being ill is such a waste of time.

I have some news which I am going to put in the Happy Room....

I am glad you are feeling better this morning, Mary Chambers.

We have many wasps here at the moment.

To tell you the truth Mr was bitten on Tue just before we had to leave to meet a friend at the bus station.
Mr decided to go to make sure things are ok. I was driving to the centre to collect my friend.

Everything went well. The bus was late only by 10 min. Wasp did not slow us too much, just a little.
The bite is not on the hand, but in the neck area, where the small bones are.

After I went to show friend our town and we drove Mr tp to the house.

We were lucky that the day was good. It was the first good day we had for a long time.

Today the weather is not too bad. Plumber is not here yet. I have to collect my friend and go to another friend's house for lunch. This is at 1.30. Mr tp wanted to go the University, but now he stayed home.

In worse case scenario I will leave at 12.45 and go to friend's B&B, leave my car there and walk to the bakery. I want to buy some cake or something. Then I am planning to collect the friend and drive to another friend's house.

The drive is not long because this friend lives in 15 - 20 min drive from the city.

Have to go now. My 65 years old student is here. I forgot about him.

We used to have a lot of wasps here as well, but since I perfected a new manual-and-foot technique which I called "Stun and Stamp" they seem to have become less frequent. We do occasionally get the odd one or two, and (as the smile comes to my face) I get my hands and feet to the ready.

The only trouble is that my Mrs strongly disapproves of this behaviour, so I have now developed another technique which I have called "Scowl and Hiss as though you are going to Stun and Stamp", and by golly this seems almost as effective.

Indeed I used this technique last year to remove a seething wasp's nest from my loft! Out of thousands of the blighters I managed to get away with a single (and very minor) bite on one finger. Please don't ask me what I did with the nest as refusal often offends.

No, no, this is Buzz:

I was up remarkably early today considering I didn't get to bed until after 3. I was sorting various things on the Ubuntu laptop, including a problem with the firewall which appeared after I used a wireless connection on Tuesday, and the time just disappeared. All OK now.

My student left and plumber is here working. He is going up and down the stairs.
I still don't know what is wrong, but I feel reassured he is here.

I am feeling a little better (or should I say I feel better right now?). I know the first is right.

They are shouting to each other and the water is still coming from that pipe outside the house.

At least it is still 11 o/clock.

Now there is some noise like they are moving something. It sounds like he is moving something in the bathroom.
It is quite again.

Don't let their noises blind you with science - wear the goggles! You should also already be practising Jeux d'eaux in preparation for the outcome. Let's hope the "Revolutionary" will not be necessary. Do you have ample supplies of kitchen roll at the ready?

Don't be !!!

I remember a plumber coming to repair our leaking loo, he said he needed a part and went out to get it.. saying 'Don't flush the loo!!'

He then returned and the first thing he did was....... flush the loo, all over the hall
