...We have many wasps here at the moment.
To tell you the truth Mr was bitten on Tue just before we had to leave to meet a friend at the bus station.
...Wasp did not slow us too much, just a little. The bite is not on the hand, but in the neck area, where the small bones are.
We used to have a lot of wasps here as well, but since I perfected a new manual-and-foot technique which I called "Stun and Stamp" they seem to have become less frequent. We do occasionally get the odd one or two, and (as the smile comes to my face) I get my hands and feet to the ready.
The only trouble is that my Mrs strongly disapproves of this behaviour, so I have now developed another technique which I have called "Scowl and Hiss
as though you are going to Stun and Stamp", and by golly this seems almost as effective.
Indeed I used this technique last year to remove a seething wasp's nest from my loft! Out of thousands of the blighters I managed to get away with a
single (and very minor) bite on one finger. Please don't ask me what I did with the nest as refusal often offends.
