bbm,
I meant that one is in a good mood when one is playing in the band. Also the sound of a brass band make me happy.

May be some people can recognize this view. This is looking toward the city from Salthill.

This is the city center. It doesn't look like that in real life because there usually 20 times as many people there as it is on this picture.

It is difficult to walk there because there are so many people usually.
There are a lots of restaurants in this area.
This picture was probably taken at early in the morning. I have never seen this place being so deserted.

Not necessarily. tp! I find that some bras bands wont play certain music, suspicions! Singing in the Rain and Colours of the Wind. They are a definete no no!
The mental image would reduce Julian Bream to a quivering jelly and persuade Craig Ogden to learn the harpsichord!

Good morning. I don't know what kind of weather we have because it is still dark.
I know for sure this time that it is 6 o'clock (and it is not 16.00).

Our band here will like to play things like "Singing in the rain" and other classics like that. They like to play easy listening music. They play other music too.

Hi people!

I had the unusual sighting on that round thing that hangs in the sky today!

I had a lie in today!

Good morning,
We have bright sunshine. I have to run now. Student is coming at 11 and I have a tuner to look after the piano in the afternoon.
I have to be in good form for the student. He is doing many different kinds of music. I have to be able to say things quickly in a precise manner to give him correct direction for the next week or two.

I am so glad you could sleep longer, bbm.

Good morning!  I shall be in my study most of the day today.  It is in an unbelievable state of chaos, particularly considering how tidy and organised the rest of the house is.

I shall be filing, paying bills and having a good clearout of redundant paperwork.  I've got the BBC iPlayer on the computer so music while I work!  Smiley

Was going to post this on Waffle but it seemed quite good-morning-esque so opted for here Smiley

Good morning.  I'm back at work after a week off Sad  Very busy, with vital contributors to important reports failing to comprehend either the urgency with which certain things are required or the level of detail expected.

Prom-wise, am now firmly on the home straight with only six nights left (five really, as I'm not planning to go on Wednesday) with the next treat on the menu being Haitink's Mahler 6 with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra this evening Smiley

'Twas lovely to see IGI, George and Bryn yesterday.  You'll all be pleased to hear that IGI's move went well and he says he should be back on broadband by Wednesday. Also this weekend I finally matched a real person to the TOP moniker Federo Caladasch.

I'm considering going to see BYO's production of Flight on my one non-Promming day, given that I have never seen the piece live, only on telly, and a trusted friend posted on Facebook yesterday saying it is a must-see.  I would love to see their Rondine as well, but every performance clashes with something unmissable.

You can see the understudies perform both those pieces (possibly in slightly shortened versions, I'm not sure) for free later this week, Ruth - Flight at 1pm on Thursday and La rondine on Friday at the same hour - though I suppose you may be stuck at work at those sort of times ...

PM me if you need more details. Time2 was assistant director on BYO's Magic Flute last year, as I think you know, and has all the info.

Both performances are at the Peacock Theatre which I think is somewhere near Holborn.

The city is a process which always veers away from the form envisaged and desired, ... whose revenge upon its architects and planners undoes every dream of mastery. It is [also] one of the sites where Dasein is assigned the impossible task of putting right what can never be put right. - Rob Lapsley

Tinners,

Thanks for the tip-off on that one.  I would have been interested, however as you rightly guessed, I'm otherwise occupied.
