Well, it's my hob, not my oven Wink  And it wasn't clean earlier on this evening, but I cleaned it before I started cooking Grin

You're not seeing the rest of my flat - it's not clean at all Grin

I haven't yet, Milly but I intend to print out lots of the recipes posted here and make an r3ok Recipe Book as it would be awkward setting up this pc in the kitchen... Wink

What's on the menu tonight?

I haven't tried any of yours yet Milly for the simple reason that it's a long time since I cooked Indian food (usually it's Thai) so simply don't have any of the right spices in the cupboard at the moment.

For dinner tonight, inspired by Mort's meal the other night it will be penne with black olives, tomato and shavings of pecorino cheese.

A r3oK cookbook sounds a very good idea MabelJane.

Also, has anyone heard from harmony harmony because he always came up with some good recipes.

Quick meal tonight - not that I've been busy today but I suddenly realised it's getting on and I'm going out at 6-45. Home grown spuds "baked" Wink in the microwave, topped with sun-dried tom pesto from a jar (had a bit left in the fridge which needed using up); side salad of yellow pepper, toms, cuc, carrot, olives with mayo.

PS hh was logged in on Monday but he hasn't posted since before Xmas.

A meal-replacement strawberry milk shake.  Cry  Youngster went to tea with a schoolfriend so I only have myself to consider.

No I've got to be strong.  200 calories.  Anyway I haven't any soup in and I've had such a rough day with one thing and another can't be a***ed cooking anything.  I had some medical treatment today and I'm really not very hungry anyway.

I had porridge for breakfast and erm...oh! Forgot lunch!  This changes everything then. I have two fresh crusty cheese and onion baked rolls so I'll have those.  What a good job you said!  I'm really not hungry today though. I never am when I've been stressed.

The reason I'm cutting right back at the moment is that I'm a good size 12 and pushing.  This winter I've really piled it on.  I do not intend to EVER be a size 14!  I'm only very small remember - small-boned - I shouldn't really go above a 10.  What terrified me the other day was that I bought a new top and I'm always small/medium.  I had to get medium/large!!!!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
Sizes vary a tremendous amount I know, but I don't ever remember having any item of clothing with the word "large" in it.  Cry

Action is called for without delay!

Milly, my wardrobe has clothes ranging from size 8 to 14. Yet they all fit me Huh Same thing with shoes, all different sizes. It`s ridiculous. Very much dependent on cut, brand etc. I`d like to think that the, ahem, larger end of the spectrum is because the cheapskates skimp on material. Can`t explain the shoe thing though.

Mort, I agree about shoes.  I can be a 3, 3 1/2 or a 4 if they're a narrow fit.  Mostly my shoes are 36-37 Continental size.

Re. clothes though I'm happiest at 10/12.  I'd be even happier at 8/10 but I eat far too much these days unfortunately.

There we are all, us females, wondering if we are creeping slowly up from a size 10 to a size 12 but do the Members of the Opposite Gender amongst us worry about their trouser size increasing from a 28" waist to a 34".  I rather think not  Cheesy
