Tommo, can you please use something like RazorLame to make mp3 type files for posting. I feel I have an unfair advantage in knowing that your files need special attention. Wink

...I can't hear Rapidshare clips on this computer, alas - the Khachaturian concerto (or Khachatryan if you prefer) is another I'll have to mark down as one that got away.  Sad
Ollie, it is all the fault of the poster! 24ksps 16 bit WAV files. Winamp will not play them, so I have to open them in Sound Forge. It is not RapidShare's fault.
That's as may be - but in my office Rapidshare is blocked! If I'd managed to grab the file at all I might have been able to find a way to play it but it didn't even reach that stage...

Sorry Tommo, was that Mordkovitch in the first, or the second clip. I'd rather like to hear more of the second one (the one not used in the competition itelf).

Not even close, Baz. I expect it to be solved by the likes of richard, autoharp or OS before too long.

Er, OK.  If I can find it.

At the mo I use WavePad and it does ask what format I choose to put them in.  I keep forgetting to choose MPEG Layer3.  (I have iriver as my player, so all my files are wav to begin with, before I clip them).

Anyone got a problem with 143 I'll try and redo it.

And the test version of the AK VC was Mordkovitch.  The discussion version is much better (not so rushed) and is Valery Klimov with the USSR Academic SO under Svetlanov (coupled with other artists in the Schoenberg VC).

Thanks, Tommo, on all counts. I don't suppose the all Russian one will be too easy to find, but I will go searching.

Tommo,143 is a bit jumpy but it's ok!

Not that I can get it, unless it is someone like York Bowen --viola sonata.... ( after 2 glasses of wine it could be anybody!!)

You think what is Draper Mad for Love, Anty. I think SCGrew may just dock you a few points for that. Wink

Unlike Mr Iron, I rather like the sound of Puzzle 140a. I'm pretty sure I've never heard it before though.

Re: Two- to Sixty-second Repertoire Test Discussion

I am sorry to say that , to me , these last few clips are not repertoire as normally known... or is it just me?

I think it must be. Some of yours are pretty obscure for those of us who don't go round sticking hollow bits of wood under our chins every day.  Grin
