Yes, it would, Mme Antheil! It's the movement usually placed second in the suite, titled The Dance of Belkis at Dawn. I have two recordings of this toothsome work:   You have earned 180 points. Time bonus for a puzzle set on 03 March 2008, 04:12:57 = 403 points (4 days, 4 hours, 45 mins+) 18649 + 403 = 19052 |

If we are not mistaken we have been granted only one hint about Mr. Watson's puzzle 236 - after four and a half days! - it is the work of a Frenchman he says. Although we have recordings of Gounod's two symphonies somewhere it is at present inconvenient to check them, so here is a mere guess: perhaps puzzle 236 is Gounod's First Symphony. . . .

There have been two clues hidden amongst all the other messages: the other was the date of composition and first performance, in the 1880s. So regretfully it is not by Gounod but someone beginning with L. |

It's not necessary to calculate the scores now, as Member Grew has posted on the discussion thread that it's been cancelled.
