My pessimism was ill-founded: the sun has appeared here, too.

I've just been out to get a sandwich and it's an absolutely radiant day here in Central London - warm and cloudless.  Let's hope it lasts.

Another stunningly beautiful day. At least we appreciate them when we get them.

It is also beautiful on the NW coast.  Lovely, sunny and warm.  At last the summer we didn't have.  Indian summer?

We miss the tortoise though.

I can't cope with all this sun, wish it would start raining again, I'd know where I was then.

I know Andy D! Amazing is'nt it! Remninds me of the weather in The Alagrve in December time, just before Christmas, especially down Brighton seafront this afternoon! Glorious!

Yikes!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Autumn - make that winter - is definitely upon us.  We have a howling gale, pouring rain, I have a garage full of workmen and a huge lorry has just backed into the drive delivering materials so I can't get out in my car.

Unfortunately, get out I must at some point, because I have a lot to do.  Sad

As I said on the Good Morning thread, I too have to go out, and I don't want to. I'd rather hibernate. The wind has blown down dozens of apples and I am too cowardly to venture out and pick them up. They are at the end of the sponge-like lawn.

What happened to the beautiful golden weather we had a few days ago?

SMP on R3 has been gathering together a theme for this week on Autumn. My goodness, it certainly markedly colder today. The central heating is on! I wore my thermals today as well!! Roll Eyes

It looks horrible outside and I'm going out shortly, not looking forward to it.

I was waiting at the bus stop for about 20 minutes last night after I'd been for a drink with my brother - and it was really cold, I'd worn a sweatshirt only, not expecting to need a coat, but I regretted it. My brother was wearing a coat, but his bus turned up almost straight away Sad
