Saturday wasn't very nice, but yesterday was gorgeous, I was sitting outdoors at my local cricket ground ( Tongue martle) in a T shirt, something I did very rarely during the "summer".

...not for want of trying, though.

Mort, isn't he just looking at his watch, thinking 'how much bluddy longer shall I sit here waiting for the sun'?

That's what I first thought, but then I looked at it again and thought 'blimey! it is an ostrich egg at which Andy D is looking longingly!'.
Perhaps he's hatching it...

Yesterday has returned!  Rain, cold, gloom - all vanished!  Sunny, bright and warm...ish.  Not as warm as yesterday but looks much nicer out.

Gloomy to start with here but now, as it will soon be time to go to work, it's brightened up and is quite pleasant.

Strange isn't it. As soon as I come back to Sussex, all is back to normal! The weather in Sussex isn't as fresh as in Cornwall, so my health probs start up again!! I had hardly any problems in Cornwall.

You win the prize martle! It was actually taken in 2007 but that summer was as bad as this. As far as I remember, the other spectators spectator had dashed for cover but I stayed under my brolly for a while, hoping the rain would stop.

I used to find that visits to the Sussex coast meant that my asthma was much better. I suspect it had more to do with the 'coast' bit than the 'Sussex' bit though!

We've had all aspects of Scottish autumn here today (except the chilliness - it's been decidedly mild all day). Bright blue sky, overcast grey sky, sudden downpours.
It's been a veritable sample CD.

Mornin'all!

I find that the Sussex coast is different ofcourse but nothing like Cornwall. I love it down there. Its almost like my spiritual home. My wife agrees with that to. It must be all that air coming over from the Atlantic on both sides. If only we could live there!

Bitterly cold here, the sun shone earlier but seems to have given up.  The sky is a uniform slate grey now.  We had some torrential rain earlier which seems to have gone as well.
