The sky is bright red. Very odd.

The sky is black here but with a deep orange stripe over the sea just above the horizon.  Quite spectacular.

I saw a sunset like this one, only more spectacular, in Wales the other day - just down the coast from Milly and Mary. This is of the same place...

The effects of cloud and humidity on sunset light in the west can be truly awesome.

It looks very similar to that here, but with more black sky overhead and just a band of orange in a completely straight line!  Beautiful.

Have you ever seen the green flash at sunset over water, oh green one?  I've wanted to ever since I learned of its existence, but haven't yet.

We have had all day bitterly cold gale force winds.  Even at work it wasn't very warm and I kept my jacket on all day so I couldn't show off my new top!  Cheesy

It started to spit with rain about 4.30pm still spitting.  I shall be quite glad when the clocks go back this weekend as I am fed up of stumbling around in the dark in the mornings.  Also, with all these winds we are having I am afraid my neighbour's windchimes are rather getting on my nerves!

Lovely photo Martle.

Yes, but only once, strina - despite watching for it many, many times. It looked exactly like this (this one's in San Fransisco)...

Wow Marts!  That is amazing.  I never knew of the green flash.  We had a most brilliant sunset the other day (the back of the house faces South Sou-West) and then, as I moved to The North Nor-East Wing, the full moon appeared behind the hill.  You can tell I own a compass!!

I've looked for the green flash many times but only seen it once - in Norfolk about 3 years ago.  Very strange parahelial effect.  I like sun pillars, 23.5 degree haloes and sun dogs as well.  I tend to look at clouds in idle moments as i find them fascinating.

We students in Aber used to watch sunsets in the hope of seeing that elusive green flash but elusive it remained.

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.
