It's cloudy here in York but it is quite warm. So at least it's not raining or cold...

Far too hot for me today, and the last few days. I'm sitting at the computer dripping.

Indeed. Worse, neighbours had a bbq today, and there was smoking, loud music and bbq smoke all afternoon. This meant that I had to keep the window closed all the time. I took revenge at 9pm - they were still outside then - by opening the window wide and blasting Prokofiev at them at ott volume. HA.

How mean of them not to invite you Eruanto!!! I always used to invite the neighbours to barbecues and parties when I had them. That way nobody could complain.

That's London for ya (although the end of the road is in Surrey). Today is looking set to be even worse than yesterday heat-wise. Time for shorts and shorts alone.

Oh yuck, eru! Yesterday was horribly humid and muggy. Aside from anything else, I can't just wear shorts and nuffing else. Well, I suppose I could but then I'd be arrested

There was that TV programme about a couple walking from Land's End to John o'Groats wearing nothing. I think they made it to Inverness before the guy was altogether prevented from continuing.

I don't wear shorts unless I'm certain nobody can see me. Being so small I just look like Jimmy Kranky. You need to be tall I'm afraid, to carry shorts off with style, with long, slender, willowy legs..... Very warm here but thunderstorms forecast for later. Hope so. I don't like this oppressive, humid, headachey weather. Been invited to take the child swimming to a friend's pool this afternoon so that should be nice and refreshing!

Just watched forecast, storms due over England later and tonight, but it looks as if today is the peak of the heat, cooler tomorrow. Thank goodness, I'm very drippy!

It's been horribly humid today, rain started on my last stage of journey home, thunder rolling round the hills, wind getting very strong and sky a stormy yellow. Yesterday was unbearable, went up to bed (which is in the eaves) lasted 10 mins and came back downstairs to sleep until 4am then back upstairs for last couple of hours. Hope the rain will bring freshness rather than increased humidity

Still boiling here. No sign of any rain clouds as yet. Perhaps they'll have made their way up here by the morning. Just debating whether or not to water the garden.......

I'll send them up to you Milly! It's now coming down like stair rods, have got the windows open and back door open and there is beautiful cold air wafting through .... aahhh!
Don't know if it's the weather but there is an outbreaks of flies, not buzzy ones but dozey little buglers that circle around ... bought some spray but it doesn't seem to touch them. I have been stalking them with anti-bacterial kitchen spray which stuns them and then I squish them!
